Dowfrost Concentrate is widely used for secondary heating and cooling applications. It is useful in applications where toxicity is a concern because of its low acute oral toxicity. It is used where contact with drinking water is possible and in food processing applications where accidental contact with food or beverage products could occur.

Dowfrost is non-hazardous under the Federal OSHA Hazard Communication Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200.
Characteristics
Dowfrost Concentrate is a colorless liquid with a characteristic odor. It has a pH value of 10.0 at 50% and is 100% soluble in water.
