KaliSel Potassium Chloride FCC with Anti-Caking Agent manufactured and packaged for Morton by Kali in a bulk 50 pound bag.
Potassium Chloride FCC is also known as KCL or K-Chloride and is processed with less than 1% magnesium hydroxide carbonate which is an anti-caking agent. Potassium Chloride is a salt substitute for Sodium Chloride which is associated with health issues such as high blood pressure. While used on its own in food products, it does not impart as much salt flavor as regular salt, but when the two salts are combined, they can actually increase the salt flavor while decreasing sodium. You can replace up to 30% Sodium Chloride with Potassium Chloride and see no noticeable flavor change.
Potassium Chloride is also used in Personal Care Products and Cosmetics as a thickener and cleansing agent.
