Tectyl 5187, is a water-based corrosion preventive compound designed for application to automotive underbodies. This product will dry to a wax-like film and may be applied using conventional underbody rustproofing equipment. Daubert recommends a 15:1 airless pump or greater that can deliver 800-1200 psi to a .017 to 0.25 reverse-a-clean tip. This product should be applied at temperatures above 50F to allow for proper film formation.
