Sunoco EXO2 107 Octane leaded racing fuel is a highly Oxygenated fuel which is about 3 times more than you see at the pump.
Sunoco EXO2 Race Fuel can be very beneficial to your performance in Crate Engines, Two-Barrel intakes and race classes limiting the cylinder head size. Due to its higher oxygen content, it is necessary to create a richer air fuel mixture anywhere from 10% to 15%.
As with any gasoline, Sunoco EXO2 Race Fuel should be stored in opaque, tightly sealed containers and kept where temperatures are stable. Drum pumps should be removed immediately after use. Properly stored, the shelf life of Sunoco EXO2 is one to two years.
SUNOCO TECH CORNER
Leaded fuels are not compatible with catalytic converters and oxygen sensors. Unleaded fuels will be limited to 104 octane.
Sunoco’s oxygenated fuels contain alcohol, and that alcohol helps performance. Alcohol can have some drawbacks, though: Proper storage becomes key when you’re talking about fuels containing alcohol. Alcohol is also such an effective cleaner that it could loosen deposits in older, dirtier systems and clog the fuel filter.
Note: EXO2’s octane values must be estimated because of the extreme oxygenation of this fuel. The (R+M)/2 octane value of 110 is a conservative estimate.
