TOTAL LACTUCA 5043 S Bio-resistant, Water-Soluble, Macro-Emulsion Mineral Oil for Machining of Carbon Steels

TOTAL Lactuca 5043 S is a general-purpose water-soluble oil or macro-emulsion specially designed for satisfactory performance with machining operations applications involving ferrous metals. It is recommended for all carbon steels as well as suitable for aluminum, copper, and brass machining.

This foam-resistant macro-emulsion forms an opaque, milky-white emulsion with great hard water stability, working well to cool and lubricate metal parts during machining operations like milling, drilling, reaming, boring, turning, grinding, and sawing.

TOTAL Lactuca 5043 S is suitable for cooling requirements and high temperatures, high speeds and low loads, offering a plethora of additional benefits such as:

  • Contains biocide for powerful resistance to microorganism development to control or kill harmful organisms like bacteria, viruses, fungi, and insects
  • Protects work pieces, machinery, and tools against wear and corrosion.
  • Increased tool lifetime, preventing ridging and promoting a good surface finish.
  • Optimized formulation dedication to lubrication and cooling properties.
  • Improved anti-foaming design, prevents fluid overflow and also promotes longer tool life.
  • Free of chlorine, boron, secondary amines, formaldehyde releasers, or heavy metals.

TOTAL Lactuca 5043 S macro-emulsion can be used for various demanding machining applications on ferrous metals but is best suited for when remarkable lubrication is a priority, also providing enhanced tool life, and high water-based cooling properties.

Applications:

  • Light-to-Moderate duty water-soluble oil for all carbon steels, aluminum, copper, and brass cutting or heavy machining operations.
